You are looking at a brand new NEW OLD
STOCK Electro-Voice N/D408B Dynamic Supercardioid Instrument
Microphone. The N/D408B
is one of Electro-Voice's original series of ground breaking
patented N/DYM® mikes using the neodymium
rare earth magnet material technology. This mike turned up during
a recent inventory, languishing on a shelf in our warehouse.
We purchased it in April 1992... Somehow it was
ignored until today. What you are seeing here are images of the
actual microphone and accessories that we are selling. They are
un-retouched. Everything
is in excellent condition... a 9.5 out of 10.
The N/D408B is a favorite of producers,
engineers and artists in many recording studios and on stage
and is ideally suited to miking percussion, instrument amps,
and horns. Being
a supercardioid mike, the N/D408B offers maximum audio rejection
at 150º off axis. The on-axis proximity effect provides
distance dependant low frequency response, with the maximum
level produced near the capsule. The unique pivoting yoke
design provides maximum flexibility for mike positioning. The
N/D408B utilizes the neodymium alloy to form the E-V N/DYM® magnet
resulting in 6-db increase in output and a lowering of distortion
during peak sound pressure levels.
