Hunter " Limited Edition SC-3" guitar. This guitar has NEVER
been sold! It was taken delivery by us, M.E.S. Music Equipment
Sales Ltd. as an authorized Hunter Dealer.
Hunter was a small Canadian based company who offered
a line of guitars featuring design elements uniquely combined from several
of the music industry's most popular builders. They were produced by
one of Korea's renown manufacturers of fine guitars. Quality control
is equal to the best available from the far east.
Hunter's president and designer managed this factory
for some years producing some of the finest instruments for several VERY
well known marques... He is very familiar with the factory's operation
and how to specify the best instruments possible.
The Hunter SC-3 features a solid Mahogany body with
a contoured-for-comfort back. The arched top is of "AA" grade
Flamed Maple. The color is a Trans Ebony Burst. Power is supplied
by 3 High Output Humbucker pickups. Each pickup has its own volume control
with a single master tone control and a five way selector switch. The
500K ohm control potentiometers are large full sized pots. The
bridge is T-O-M style with a Stop Tailpiece and a 11/16" wide nut.
Mahogany is the wood of choice for the neck with
a bound Rosewood fingerboard. The medium "D" profile neck has
a 12" radius
with 24 medium sized frets. There are pearloid tarpazoid fret markers.
The scale length is 25". The neck-to-body joint is a set-neck type.
The black 'V' topped Hunter headstock has a 17 degree
pitch with high quality Grover 3+3 Machine Heads.
Unfortunately Hunter was a casualty of the world
economic situation and is no longer in business. This is an opportunity
to acquire a unique guitar at a very modest price.
